You can apply for reimbursement of travel expenses to concerts that you reached by public transport, car-sharing and car-pooling and recoup up to 70% of the incurred costs. Simply apply to the GREEN TOURING FUND after your tour and get up to 70% of the expenses back!

Terms & Conditions :

• Applicants must reside or work in Hamburg, regardless of nationality. In the case of bands, the majority of the band members must reside in Hamburg or be able to prove that their focal workplace is in Hamburg. Funding can only be applied for band members and, if applicable, for up to two accompanying persons (management, sound/lighting, technician) who reside in Hamburg.
• Only live performances and projects of artists, bands, DJs and other ensembles from the field of popular music are supported. Popular music means here all genres, except classical music, new music and jazz. Crossover projects with the genres excluded here will be evaluated by RockCity on a case-by-case basis.
• The applicants have written proof (e.g. performance agreement, contract) from the respective organizers. This must include the place, date and, if possible, the details of the performance. A payment / fee must be demonstrably recognizable – concerts without a fee are considered on a case-by-case basis!
• The support is to promote more environmentally conscious travel to your gigs. At least 30% of the costs must be paid by yourself. A RockCity membership is not required!
• The funding amounts to a maximum of 70% of the respective travel costs per project. Flights, taxi, bike and scooter fares cannot be reimbursed.
• Important: No other federal or state funding, such as the Goethe Institute, Initiative Musik or cultural authorities, may be accepted at the same time as RockCity funding.
• Funding decisions are made by the Board of Directors of RockCity Hamburg e.V. or a committee appointed by the board. The decision of the board is final. Legal action is excluded. Funding will only be granted on a case-by-case basis. It is a one-time reimbursement and does not guarantee a right to further funding and/or an increase in the amount of funding. The applicant is responsible for the taxation of the funds. The GREEN TOURING FONDS promotes popular music in Hamburg. It aims to support young talent, promote Hamburg’s music abroad and support the integration of people with a migration background. The project contributes to the promotion of Hamburg, its art, and its music industry.
